Specialist in gastrointestinal physiology and developmental programming. She has many years of experience in obtaining grants and conducting basic and preclinical research. She gained her knowledge and experience in conducting and monitoring clinical trials by completing postgraduate studies in this field and working in a contract clinical research organisation (CRO). Professor at the Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Author and co-author of dozens of peer-reviewed scientific articles. Populariser of science. Member of the Bioethics Committee for Animal Experiments.
Maria Wieteska-Miłek
Dr hab. n. med.
Specialist in cardiology and internal medicine. Researcher. Her main research interests are venous thromboembolism, pulmonary hypertension, quality of life in patients with cardiovascular disease and prevention of cardiovascular disease. She has experience in setting up scientific projects and conducting clinical trials. Lecturer. Author of educational materials on medical topics.
Michał Szkop
Dr n. biol.
Specialist in the field of biochemistry. He has many years of experience working in research projects with different scientific profiles. He gained his scientific experience working, among others, in the Department of Plant Physiology at the University of Potsdam, in the Department of Biochemistry at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, in the Motor Protein Laboratory at the Marcel Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology in Warsaw, as well as in biotechnology companies within the NanoGroup S.A. He is the author of numerous scientific publications, and the diverse profile of his research has allowed him to acquire multidisciplinary knowledge in chemistry and biology.
Anna Domaszewska-Szostek
Dr n. med.
Specialist in medical biology. Trained as a biotechnologist. She conducts research on the role of active substances in the human ageing process, with a special focus on skin ageing. She has completed numerous scientific internships, including at Blaise Pascal University in France, Stanford University and the University of Illinois in the USA. She is a winner of prestigious scholarship programmes, such as the Ministry of Science and Higher Education’s ‘Top 500 Innovators’ programme and the Kościuszko Foundation scholarship. She also lectures at the University of Warsaw and Kozminski University, where she shares her knowledge of the molecular mechanisms of the cellular ageing process.
Agnieszka Rak
Prof. dr hab. n biol.
Her research interests include the regulation of reproductive functions in physiological and pathological conditions (e.g. in polycystic ovary syndrome). She directs numerous scientific projects funded by Polish and foreign institutions. She cooperates scientifically with research centres in Japan, USA and France. She is the author of numerous scientific publications, chapters in books, popular science articles and conference reports.
She is a member of the Biological Commission of the Polish Academy of Sciences (Krakow branch), the Committee of Veterinary Sciences and Reproductive Biology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Society of Reproductive Biology, the Polish Nicolaus Copernicus Society, the Polish Physiological Society, the Society for the Study of Reproduction, the European Society of Endocrinology, the European Society of Toxicology in Vitro, the Ovarian Club and the European Society for Domestic Animal Reproduction.
Anna Czarnecka

Specialist in neuroscience. Focuses on addressing reproducibility challenges and the translational gap – often referred to as the ‘valley of death’ – between preclinical and clinical research. Involved in a number of research projects resulting in numerous peer-reviewed scientific publications. For many years, she has been committed to conducting research based on high ethical standards.
